Hello Everyone! Wow, it’s actually almost winter. The past few months have been a whirlwind! We finished up in San Antonio in October and have taken advantage of some time off to explore the West a second time- this time with kids.
Newest Addition: Anna Kate
Yes, kids plural! We welcomed Anna Kate in August. She has been a sweet new addition to our family and so far, she’s always up for an adventure (like she has a choice) 😉 Big Sister Hattie is adjusting well and enjoys helping, feeding, and talking with Baby Sister <3
8-Week Family Road Trip… yes, 8.
We left San Antonio on October 10th, dropped our stuff in the storage unit and headed out to Tucson for the first stop of our trip. With as busy as our summer was, we wanted this trip to be a time of reflection and rest, so we focused on aligning our goals from our FREEDOM Board (previously our “goal board”) in this season of yet another transition, changing environments, and a lot of social commitments. Highlights: all the places we went, major lessons learned, how we were humbled and grew individually and as a family. Check out our instagram for more.

ReliantProperties Real Estate Update: 1031 Exchange
You may have seen in our Instagram story that we sold our long-term rental in Burkburnett, TX. It had been a bit of a headache property for us with property management and tenants and we decided to list it. It sold within a month and we are doing our second 1031-exchange with the profits! We were looking for opportunities to buy throughout our trip. Our stop in Fort Smith proved to be a success and we are currently under contract on a property there. Our hopes are to use it as a short to mid-term furnished rental, with the option to long-term rent as a backup. Learn more about the 1031 process and rental properties on our course!
